The people at the heart of the vineyard

A friendly atmosphere prevails at Château L'Escart. The values of mutual respect and passion for the land permeate daily working life.

Damien Laurent
Former professional ice-hockey player, played for Chamonix for 7 years. He came back to the family home when his sporting career ended in 2002 and moved into Viticulture and Oenology. He has been the domain's director since 2005.

Lorena Laurent Garrido
Interior designer, graduated from the Catholic University of Vina del Mar in Chile.
Following their marriage, Lorena resumed her studies in Viticulture and Oenology in Bordeaux. She is now the domain's quality manager. In 2007, Lorena and Damien had the joy of welcoming their son, Octavio, to the Laurent family.

Jean-Christophe Aznar
L'ESCART's technical director.
He plays a vital role in implementing and developing Organic and Biodynamic Viticulture and, as such, assists Damien Laurent.

Espérance Mathieu
She works in the vineyard and manages the vineyard team.

Romain Reuteunaeur
He works in the vineyard and helps with general maintenance at the domain.

Fréderic Meynard
He works in the vineyard and helps with general maintenance at the domain.
